Believe it or not Champagne + Linen does more than just weddings. We also enjoy planning any kind of event imaginable (because every moment is worth celebrating, right?). We also have a soft spot for children as well… So when Missoula’s super adorable baby boutique, La Stella Blu, asked if we were interested in helping with their Sunday Streets Missoula festivities we were into it. Sunday Streets Missoula is a super rad kid’s fair put on by Missoula in Motion ‘’Sunday Streets Missoula celebrates Missoula as a bikeable and walkable community. By temporarily closing one of our greatest public spaces, the streets, Sunday Streets Missoula encourages all ages and all abilities to be active, support local businesses, and rethink how our community can be more livable.” The gals of C+L came up with Club Blu [Get it? Because of La Stella Blu?!]. Ahem, anyways, we wanted activites that was fun for the whole family. We immediately called our friends at RMF Entertainment because every club needs an awesome DJ to bump some tunes. Later we enjoyed some live music by Toni Nicole Music on her ukulele.
To make the party extra awesome, we invited some buggy friends from the Missoula Insectarium. The Insectarium brought a scorpion, several breeds of Mantis’, and some roaches, which weren’t as terrifying as we imagined them to be. Ariel’s dear mother, The Montana Bird Lady, also showed up with the very adorable Tink the Saw-Whet Owl! Tink is only three freakin inches tall, and as adorable as they come. Sticking with the buggy critter theme, we came up with some fun insect crafts and coloring pages to do with the kiddos. Too many bug headbands to count were made (which we helped each kiddo make by hand!). Alicia’s extremely talented friend, Cassie, did face painting for the WHOLE four hours we were there, painting Ladybugs, Praying Mantis’, butterflies, and snails on kids faces (seriously so good). We loaded up on sidewalk chalk and bubbles. While Hop Skotch wasn’t so popular, kids went cray cray with the chalk cause they were literally drawing in the middle of one of the busiest streets in town in the middle of the day. Best day ever, duh. What more does a kid need really? We had so much fun on this beautiful Missoula fall day! We met so many new friends, learned some things about insects (did you know there are scorpions who are native to Montana?! We have mixed emotions about that...), hung out with Tink the tiny, adorable owl, and blew some bubbles! So many bubbles. We cannot wait to do it again next year! A huge thank you to all the people who made Club Blu extra amazing today! All our love, Alicia, Ariel & Mariah **Do you have a children’s birthday party coming up and need more hands on deck? We were lucky enough that our dear friend (and go-to wine connoisseur) Jessica refered us to her friends, Zee + Tyler. Zee + Tyler are currently living in Chicago (YAY Montana destination wedding!). We didn’t have the pleasure of meeting them in person until the week of their wedding. They are our ideal clients - their main focus was to make sure their friends and family were having a good time, and man, their attendees had a blast! Z+T’s wedding was at Sky Ridge Ranch which is nestled in at the base of the beautiful Mission Mountains. There were so many different locations for photographs - birch forest, a bridge over the pond, the beautiful barn, the retro truck, gosh the list goes on and on. There were so many meaningful touches incorporated into Z+T’s wedding. The first was that Tyler’s best man was their adorable german shepard Raji. He was there through the whole night soaking up love from all guests. We love a couple who includes their fur babies! Side note: can we talk about how amazing the bridal party looked? We love the mismatched look for both bridesmaids AND groomsmen. Dusty bridesmaids dresses are one of the biggest trends this summer (Marissa + Jonah’s maids also had similar colors!). The second highlight for us was that Zee and her dad decided to forgo the typical father daughter dance. Instead they had a competition to see who could make five baskets (with their beach balls) quickest. Cheating was highly encouraged. Zee also played in her crazy amazing heels! After the meaningful first, father/daughter, and mother/son dances, the guests partied the night away. RMF killed it with the music! The whole wedding day really showed us what was most important to Z+T - having a good time with their friends + family! Venue || Sky Ridge Ranch
