I found my love for thrifting when I moved to Missoula for college. Maybe I grew fond of weekly visits to Goodwill because of my modest college student budget. Or perhap it is because Missoula has some pretty good thrift and antique stores. Not to mention, I have always loved spending my summer weekends garage saling, and bargaining with old people. Either way, nothing gives me a bigger thrill than finding something awesome during my thrifting adventures. It is very much a huge part of my design aesthetic (almost all the furniture and decor in my apartment is second hand. Everything else most likely came from Target).
Items that almost always come home with me while I am out thrifting:
Books || I have always collected books. And as you probably know, buying books brand new is hella expensive. Most of the books I own are used, and I never spend more than about $5 when I buy them at my second hand stores. I enjoy buying books for my personal library, funky looking books for my coffee table, and children’s books for my dear god son, Luca.
Kitchen Items || I am obsessed with wooden spoons/utensils. I am also always on the lookout for cast iron skillets, fun dishware, and serving trays.
