Letters from the Planners

Hey Ariel! What's Good? // Champagne + Linen

Life is pretty good right now.  My life is full of my gorgeous wife, pancakes, all the wine that I want, and all the books I can read. I try to keep the things in my life fresh and fabulous, so here’s what’s currently good in my world.
Hey Ariel! What's good? Ariel's on a homemade kick and made tomato soup from scratch!
My homemade crockpot tomato soup!
Currently I am on a “homemade” kick.  I’m your younger, trendier, and probably nicer and non-racist version of Betty Crocker.  Like Mariah, I am obsessed with my damned crock pot.  You can cook LIT-ER-A-LLY anything in them (can you hear my hand claps in between each syllable?  My mom always told me I was sassy).  You can cook chicken, you can cook yourself some lemon monkey bread, and my recent discovery, you can cook friggin soup in them.  This last weekend I made the most amazing crock pot Basil Tomato Soup.  I threw a few pieces of toasted baguette in the mix, and it was basically the newest and hottest cafe inside my apartment. It was amazing, and you should make it even if you don’t like tomato soup.

Listening to
|| Audible ||  I know I know….audiobooks are flippin expensive.  But when you are like me and spend an insane amount of hours a week in your car you need something other than the radio and your podcasts.  Audible is only $15.99 a month, which gets you one credit.  One credit=1 book.  ANY book.  Even the $45.00 a book Harry Potter.  Which lead me too…….

Entertainment|| Remember that I just said Harry Potter?  I grew up on Harry Potter.  Screw that, I grew up WITH Harry Potter.  I was the same age as him, the books corresponded with what I was dealing with whenever that particular book came out.  HP is my comfort story, my primary entertainment story, what I like to read when I’m happy, angry, or sad.  One of the first books I downloaded on Audible was HP and The Goblet of Fire-the Jim Dale narrated version.  Which literally is the most amazing performance you will ever hear of HP.  It’s a whole new magical world, so if you’re an HP nerd like me, do it. You won’t regret a single penny.
Hey Ariel! What's good? She loves her ombre lip set!
Ombre lip set!
Makeup || My new ombre lip set from NYX.  It was on clearance at Ulta, it’s friggin incredible, Fresh Friday post to come, I PROMISE. My new lip exfoliator from ELF.  Literally $3.00.  Literally amazing.

Activity || Obvi I’ve been to wine tastings before, but the last two that I have gone to have been with really amazing people that I love, and I met new amazing people.  Surrounded by the most amazing liquid substance that God ever graced us with.

Best recent purchase || My adorbs black suede bootie heels that I CAN’T WEAR YET BECAUSE OF THE MELTING SNOW.  It’s literally killing me on the inside.

Keep it good!

Cheers,
Ariel
