We all get caught up in the holiday festivities. Between the travel, family get-togethers, and all the shopping it is easy to lose track of time. We all have good intentions and truly want to plan ahead, but sometimes life gets in the way.

C+L wanted to throw a NYE bash that required minimal preparation, but maximum fun! Here are our tips on how to throw a last minute NYE bash:

Pick a few colors || boom, that’s your theme. The C+L girls decided on white, black, and metallics. You can never have enough balloons and confetti on NYE.

BYOB || Depending on how large your party is going to be, ask guests to bring their own alcoholic beverages. This cuts down on your costs and is one less thing to worry about!

If you are feeling fancy, here are a few delicious champagne cocktail options:

Apple Cider Mimosa || A twist on a classic with a gold sugar rim.

Champagne Cocktail || Sugar cube, bitters, topped with champagne.
Picture
Hibiscus || Champs + cranberry juice + topped with cranberries!

Finger food is key || Let's be real - no one turns down free food - especially with enough cocktails.

The afternoon of NYE toss some frozen meatballs or mini cocktail smokies in your crockpot. Add some BBQ sauce.
Even when Mariah desperately needs to go grocery shopping, chances are she has most of the ingredients to make guacamole. Set out some guac, salsa and tortilla chips.

Mariah spices up her guac by throwing in some red pepper flakes and adding feta.
Ariel is all about mini taco cups in Tostito’s cup tortilla chips - just fill them with your favorite taco meat, and add your toppings! If you want an extra kick and some color, add a drop of Sriracha.

Every party needs some kind of dessert! Super last minute, super tasty, brownie trifle. Use that boxed brownie mix in the back of your pantry. Mix it with some raspberries and whip cream. Bam: dessert!

A good playlist is your best friend || Ever been to a party and wonder what the hell you are listening to? Yea, us too. Music is essential for setting the mood of your party. Think of which Pandora playlist gets you moving, and turn it up loud. Here are our go to stations:
  • Mariah - Hip Hop BBQ
  • Ariel - Indie Dance Party
  • Alicia - 2000s Summer Hits

Photobooth || Alicia’s photobooths are always a hit. She purchased the software for her own wedding and now she uses it every chance she gets! Create a hashtag while you’re at it.

It’s all about the company || Your food can burn, your music can fail, you can run out of champagne, but you can still have a blast if you’re surrounded by those you adore.

Cheers to 2017!
